Dearest Supreme Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master Television team, My deepest gratitude to You, Master, for transforming my life through Quan Yin meditation, and for Your tireless efforts to bring about World Vegan, World Peace. I am writing this heartline to reassure our viewers that cat-people, even at an older age, can adopt a vegan lifestyle.
In February, a dear friend of mine passed away, and I adopted her older cat named Chester. When I adopted him, I reassured Chester that he was safe in our home and that I would take care of him for the rest of his life. However, I said that I did not feel comfortable feeding him the animal-people based food that he was accustomed to, because everything else in my house is 100% vegan. I said that, while I would not force him to do so, I would be very grateful if he would adopt a vegan lifestyle, too.
I then bought a “sample kit” containing several different brands of vegan cat food. Each day, I filled his bowl, half with his old food on one side, and the other half with a plant-based food. Like most cat-people, Chester was very picky. At first, he would not even look at the vegan samples. However, one day, he tried a few bites of Ami brand vegan cat food. The next day, he sampled some Benevo vegan food. Eventually, Chester showed me that he enjoyed the Evolution brand best.
Each day, he ate more and more of his plant-based food, and within a few weeks, Chester became 100% vegan. He loves his homemade vegan treats made from sweet potato, oat flour, vegetable oil, and catnip. As a vegan cat-person, Chester is now more energetic and confident. And he shows me in many ways how much he loves me. Perhaps he is grateful for his new vegan lifestyle!
Wishing that other caretakers encourage their feline friends, even older ones, to be vegan, for the benefit of all!
